Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy to the shopping cart. When you have finished your shopping, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we will need to be able to complete the order. Please ensure you have provided your full and correct address and post code. We cannot take responsibility for parcels that have been sent to incorrect postcodes or incomplete addresses. Please ensure that the information you provide us with is 100% completely accurate. We use various terms in our plant descriptions and below is brief clarification of their meaning. Plant size will give you an indication of the ultimate size of the plant at maturity. Pot size describes the size of pot that the plant will be supplied in. Flowering period gives a general indication of the time of flowering although this may vary according to your location, growing conditions and climate. The Perfect for Pollinators logo is added to help you select plants that are beneficial to pollinating insects. The AGM award indicates that a plant has been recommended by the RHS. This award is made by a panel of industry experts only after a period of assessment and trialling. |

Delivery Schedule
When do we despatch plants? From February till the end of November assuming we can get the plants to you safely. Minimum order? £20 plus postage. Orders received at other times will be held until the start of the next despatch season. You will receive your plants within 5 days, stock and weather permitting (please see below). However, we normally send plants much more quickly and aim to get them delivered to you within 5 days. Unfortunately we cannot take responsibility for parcels that have been sent to incorrect postcodes or incomplete addresses. Please ensure that the information you provide us with is completely accurate. Also, please be aware that there are days when it is not a good idea to send plants in the back of a delivery van as it would be too hot or too cold for them. We care a great deal about our plants and would rather delay sending them to ensure that they reach you in the best possible condition. We hope you share our feelings on this. There are also weeks when we are exhibiting at shows and are not able to despatch - please see our events and shows section. |
Back Orders
Back orders are sometimes needed due to some plants only being available at certain times of year. |

Our packaging system has evolved over twenty years, and is derived from our experience of sending tens of thousands of orders throughout the British Isles. We are confident that your order will reach you in great condition. However, if for any reason you are concerned about any the plants you have received please contact us by email on info@longacreplants.co.uk. Please do bear in mind the time of year and the type of plant you have purchased. All herbaceous perennials and deciduous ferns will go through some period of dormancy (not just Winter dormancy), and we will have checked that the plant is in good shape before its leaves the nursery. This may also mean that at certain times of the year stems may have been reduced so that the plant can be packed safely or as part of our routine nursery husbandry. If you are concerned that your order has sustained damage in transit please contact us within 24 hours of taking delivery of your parcel. Our plants are guaranteed for 12 months from the date of purchase. A photograph is always very helpful in identifying any problem.
