A very hardy ginger from Chjudo which is between Japan and Korea. Yellow and pink/apricot flowers in Autumn at ground level.. Best in a warm semi shaded location. Cultivated and widely eaten in Japan. The young spring shoots and the Autumn flower buds are used. But the roots of Zingiber mioga are not edible, and neither are the leaves or stems
